Michael’s mom, Janet, and Miss Helen Weisman arrived in Vegas on Tuesday, October 14th with a mission. Their goal was first and foremost to see Ethan Michael and secondly to do all the cooking and housework so Ethan and I could feel like royalty. They sure did accomplish what they set out to do.

It was truly wonderful having them visit for a whole week. They prepared delicious food, washed the laundry, cleaned, and held the baby all week. All I had to do was feed him, rest, and recover. I felt very pampered. Kyle and Michael were really glad to have them visit also. The boys had a home cooked meal every day. Kyle looked forward to coming home from practice so he could see what wonderful dishes they prepared during the day. We are still enjoying all the wonderful food they prepared since they stocked my freezers with lasagna, chicken pot pie, cabbage rolls, beef rolls, homemade bread, and banana bread. Since Michael agreed to eat anything that Miss Helen prepared, he was exposed to a whole new dimension of vegetables. He ate turnips, rutabagas, and white sweet potatoes. However, he did spend quite a bit of time picking out the peas from his chicken pot pie this evening.

We really appreciate all that they did for us during their working vacation. It was such a treat to have them. We can’t wait for them to return for a real vacation.
