We took Ethan in for his 3 week check up. He weighed 8 pounds and 6 ounces. He is very healthy and happy. He knows that nights are for sleeping and days are for playing. He sleeps about four and a half hours straight for the first sleep session. He goes to bed around 9:00 and eats around 1:30 AM and 5:30 AM. We are hoping to stretch the second feeding until about 7:00 AM. He eats about every three hours during the day. He sleeps well during the day also. His naps aren’t regular yet, but we are working on that.

We are amazed at how quickly he is changing. Looking back at his earlier pictures is wonderful. I am so glad that we have so many. It seems that he grows and changes everyday. His hair is still red and baby fine. His eyes are still blue like Michael’s.

His movements are still pretty uncontrolled. He gets so mad when his fist is so close to his mouth but he just can’t get it in there. He also still punches himself in the face pretty often. He loves to look at a play mat that was given to us. It is red, black and white. He likes the animals and high contrast of the colors. I played the Baby Einstein DVD for him the other day and he actually watched it for a few minutes. Ethan also enjoys sitting in front of the sliding glass window and looking out into the backyard. I opened the door and let the breeze blow on him. He enjoyed that for awhile the other day. We are very blessed to have such a wonderful baby and teenager.
