Thanksgiving

They all arrived in Vegas on Saturday. When they arrived at the house, I was changing Ethan’s diaper. Ethan took them by storm. He was a hit. He melted into Grandma’s arms and that is where he stayed for the next few days. Mom said that I could have him to feed him, but she gets him the rest of the time. Ethan loved that idea.

Jim cooked us some wonderful meals through the week. He made chicken on the grill one evening and grilled catfish another. It was hard to decide which was better. Both meals were delicious! Hopefully he’ll retire in Vegas and want to cook more meals on our grill.

Jim also bought all of us dinner after he won big playing PaiGow Poker. We went to Z-Tejas one evening. We all ordered different meals and then tasted each others. It was delicious. Mom and Nan both ordered Marguaritas. Nan got their famous Mango Margarita. Yummy!

Thanksgiving Day was wonderful. Mom and Nan did most of the cooking. We were happy that the Ghanems could join us. It was also a real treat to have Nicole’s mom here for her first American Thanksgiving. Nan’s banana cream pie was the hit of the party!

I really enjoyed Thanksgiving evening at the Suncoast. Mom, Jim and Kyle went to the movies. Nan, Pa and I played the slots all evening. I played all night and came home with $5.00 more than I started with. Nan also won. Pa didn’t do quite so well that night.

The next morning we got up early to see if we could win some more money. The results were the same. Mom did really well this time. Who says penny slots don’t pay. She won $96.00 playing 'Little Green Men'. I won on 'Beverly Hillbillies' and Nan did well playing 'Texas Tea'. Pa would put it in and we would take it out.

We can’t wait until next Thanksgiving. This has become a wonderful tradition.
