We are so excited because Ethan used the potty today for the first time. He kept a dry diaper all night long. So when he got up this morning, I sat him on the potty. For the first time he actually made the water yellow! He did it! Ok, so I had to bribe him with “gum” but who cares, it was our first success. “Gum is actually his vitamins. One less diaper to change! Let’s hope he is a quick learner!

Ethan said his first complete sentence this week. He was watching Teletubbies when he said, “NuNu eat Laa Laa ball.” It was just as plain as day! He also imitates everything we say. He can now say Kyle’s name much better. Ethan used to call Kyle “a”. Like short “a”. Now he calls Kyle “yle”. Ethan now says 3 words together quite easily. He is still working on putting 4 words together.

He still talks about everyone that he visited with on our vacation home. Every night in his prayers we have to say everyone’s name. And we cannot let anyone out! He still talks about building a birdhouse with Pop Pop and riding the tractor with Pa. When we play in the pool, Ethan plays with his fish and talks about how he squirted Mom Mom. He tells us that Nanny is on the farm and if you get stuck in Grandma’s high chair you need soap to get out. Every time he hears a firecracker, Ethan says “gun”. He remembers that Pappy shot a gun. And of course how could he forget his first horse ride with Pops. He is a real cowboy now.
